With an emphatic 5-0 win over Whaley Bridge Athletic, FC St Helens claimed the Cheshire Premier Division Title. After FC's previous 2 seasons were ended prematurely by COVID with The Stripes in contention for the title both times, FC replicated their excellent form in the upcoming 2021/22 season by racking up 28 out of a possible 30 points in their first 10 games before their first loss away at eventual runners up Broadheath Central.
After 2 wins and 2 losses from their next 4 league games, FC put together another 10 game undefeated streak collecting again 28 out of a possible 30 points and building a gigantic gap at the top of the table. After suffering only 1 more defeat the rest of the season, The Stripes rightfully claimed the title that had been denied to them in years past.
FC will now look to apply for promotion into the North West Counties Football League.
